One of my customer service enquiries today was to ask whether it's worth entering a competition by the postcard route. There aren't very many of these any more but in some cases it's the cheapest way to enter some of the massive competitions run by radio and TV stations.

Having said that, though, the price of a second class stamp is going to be 91p in a couple of weeks, and then you have to find your postcard.

So for convenience you may be as well entering these comps with the text or phone route at £2.

You could look at these competition entries as the same as the National Lottery, except that your chances to win will be higher.

And if you get prizes like the ones below I'd definitely recommend entering - just set yourself a monthly budget.

   £500,000
   £100,000 and a holiday home
   £700,000
   £150,000, a £10,000 gift card and an £80,000 motor home

There are smaller prizes too which are really fun - a race weekend at Silverstone and £1,000 or a private chef experience.
